Week Two - Life is Change

There is no teacher greater than experience. I've realized that I know almost nothing, but that it helps to let instinct take control. Although, one thing I'll say I have improved on over this week is the art of baby posing.

It was a bustling week at La Casa de Deacon. Grandparents went and came, Deacon's new friends continue to drop in (just call - we're home), a life altering metamorphosis occurred, and the reality of life with sleep interrupted has set in.

Each day with Deacon is full of surprises. You never know when he's going to want to eat, or sleep, or eat again, burp, fuss, fill a diaper, eat some more, or sleep, just sleep. Jill swears she can see him growing and I feel like I've won a free gym membership (the gym currently only has one ~ten-pound weight and every routine involves some degree of bouncing). His next weigh in is on Tuesday, so we'll try to get the official stats to you then.

We'd like to thank all of you that sent us cards, gifts, and your love as we celebrate this wonderful new addition to our world. It has truly been overwhelming.
